Ziri Ibn Attia
Ziri Ibn Attia was a leader of the tribe of Maghraoua , group Berber Zenetes. He will be appointed by the Umayyad vizier, but later take part to the Fatimids. Ziri Ibn Attia will occupy much of the Maghreb. he self-proclaimed emir of all Zenetes. History According to Ibn Khaldun, Ibn Attia Ziri is a leader Berber tribe Maghraoua , Berber tribe originating Aures mountain region of eastern Algeria. At first, Ibn Attia Zir gathers all Zenetes to invade Morocco today. But fierce competition between him and Yeddou of Banu Ifren fires for the takeover of Fez by Ibn Khaldun. Ziri Ibn Attia advantage of the decline of Idrissids to steal the sovereignty of the Umayyads of Cordoba and captured Fez in 988. The city of Fez is the capital of the kingdom Zenetes. Then Ziri Ibn Attia will be invited by Almanzor in Spain to receive the title of Vizier. At that time, Yeddou takes Fez of Maghraoua. Upon his return, Ibn Attia Ziri hunting Yeddou of Fez and the city resumed. Subsequently, Ziri Ibn Attia rebels against the regime Almanzor and Umayyads. Ziri Ibn Attia based Oujda in 994 and established his residence 995 , while Oujda is part of the province of Tlemcen. It beats the Muslims from Spain in 996. But Ziri Ibn Attia is defeated by Abd al-Malik , son of Almanzor , and declines to flee into the Sahara. Then the Emir Maghraoua made an alliance with the Fatimids. It is up to the head of some tribes and resumed Tlemcen , Tahert and Zibans.
