Zaynab Bint Ali

Zaynab bint Ali (at the Arab : ) the girl had the Prime according cleric Muslims Shiites, and the last caliph properly guided from Islam ibn Abi Talib Ali , and the granddaughter of Muhammad.

Summary

Childhood

Zaynab was the third child of Ali and Fatima Zahra. She was born in Medina on 5 Jumada al-Oula for the fifth year of the Hegira , or 627. She was appointed by Muhammad named his eldest aunt who had just died.

Zaynab lost his mother three years. She grew up on the lap of his brothers Ali ibn al-Hasan and al-Husayn ibn Ali.

Marriage

When Zainab reached marriageable age, she was married to his cousin, Abdullah ibn Ja'far in simple wedding. Even if her husband was a wealthy man, the couple had a very modest life. Most of their property was devoted to charity.

Zaynab's marriage does little away from his family. Thus, when Ali became caliph and he made of Kufa his capital, Zaynab and her husband joined him there.

Zaynab was the mother of four boys whose Aun and Muhammad and a daughter.

Battle of Karbala

After the death of Muawiya I. , Hussein went to Kufa where people invited him to grant the government of the Muslim community (but they never kept their promise and fixed times). Zaynab accompanied him.

But after Hussein and his seventy-two comrades were brutally killed during the battle of Karbala , Zaynab was conducted with other women and children survivors of the expedition Hussein palace in Damascus to Yazid.

Yazid released them and allowed them to return to Medina. His tomb is located inside the mosque did Sayyidah to Zaynab Damascus.
