Yazdegerd II (etymology: "made by God," was a king Sassanid of Persia , who reigned from 438 to 457.
Biography
Son and successor of Bahram V (421-438) reigns 17 years and 4 months .
In his last years of his reign, Yazdegerd II still engaged against the Kidarites until his death in 457. Aside from his strict religious and political persecution of minorities, his subjects saw it as a just ruler and moderate.
He married a Persian nobleman named Dnak, whom he had three son:
