Yahya Al Mutasim
Yahya al-Mu `tasim ( Abu Zakariya 'al-mu` taim Yahya ibn an-Nasir) was born on an unknown date. Son of Muhammad an-Nasir , he was vying for the title of caliph Almohad twice. He died in 1229.
History
On the death of Abu Muhammad al-`Adil in 1227 he was supported by the sheikhs of Marrakech , but was ousted by Abu al-`Ala 'Idris al-Ma'mun , who reigned until 1233.
At his death, he renewed his claim, but the young son of the Caliph, Abu Muhammad ar-Rashid Abd al-Wahid , who was preferred. He managed to keep Marrakech rival caliphate, until his death in 1236 at the Marrakesh decision by Abu Muhammad ar-Rashid Abd al-Wahid who managed to rebuild the unity of the Almohad Empire.
