William Foxwell Albright

William F. Albright is an archaeologist U.S. (24 May 1891 - September 19, 1971 ) that one of the first world-class researchers to authenfier scrolls found near the Dead Sea in 1947. Albright, who was professor emeritus of Semitic languages at Johns Hopkins since 1958, was the author of a considerable number of books, including From the Stone Age to Christianity (1940-46).
