Wallace Fard Muhammad

Wallace Fard Muhammad is the founder of the Nation of Islam , a political and religious African American. An argument often expressed that his name actually says Wallace Dodd Ford or Wallace Dodd. We know very little about him and his ideology nor even accurate. For the Nation of Islam , he was God incarnate, came into the world in 1877. He came from Mecca , in Saudi Arabia to preach the black people in America, and has abandoned its physical incarnation in 1934 , when he mysteriously disappears. But other proposals have been made about its origin. In fact, many gray areas exist in his life.

Origin

For the FBI , he was born in 1891 in New Zealand , and would be a mixed white- Polynesian. He arrived in the United States in 1913. He was arrested in 1918 for violating California law on the prohibition of alcohol, then have been in prison for 1926 to 1929 for violating the drug laws. It would then be installed at Detroit , before creating the Nation of Islam in 1930 and disappeared mysteriously in 1934. See the FBI file on Wallace Fard Muhammad (in English).

The hundreds of pages of FBI file available online indicate that Wallace Dodd Ford came under dozens of pseudonyms, said many backgrounds and places of birth, as Portland in the Oregon (USA), the New Zealand , etc.. This would explain the many controversies about its origin. For cons, the FBI lost track of him after 1933-1934.

A 2003 article in the Detroit Metro Times on Wallace Fard Muhammad (in English)] suggests that Fard had had an Indian father (or Pakistani) and a British mother. He was born in 1893 in New Zealand and would have emigrated to U.S. in 1913 (on this last point, the article joins the FBI file).

Eric Lincoln, author of The Black Muslims in America, originally published in 1961, "relates a legend that describes Fard as the son of a black Jamaican Muslim Syria. Another story describes Fard as a Palestinian . "The black man has produced in four colors: brown, red, yellow and white (messiah and last prophet of the end of time) with his wisdom, infinite knowledge and understanding, will restore the original black man in the original situation or it was in the beginning, God and the governor of the universe .
Wallace Fard Muhammad and is considered at least "brown".

Disappearance

In November 1932 broke a case that threatened the fledgling organization. A human sacrifice was committed by one member, Robert Karriem (born Harris) described as "unbalanced." Fard was arrested with Karriem.

According to the FBI file mentioned previously, Muhammad would have had to leave Detroit at the request of police after the case. There would be income in 1933 , but police have again forced him to leave.

After another turn, he finally left Detroit in 1934 , and died in Chicago in 1971 .

One of Fard's first disciples was Elijah Poole , whose Fard was later partially Islamized the name Elijah Muhammad. He takes the direction of movement from 1934. It will make the Nation of Islam, still modest in 1934, a powerful organization.

Ideology

The ideology of black pride preached by Wallace Fard Muhammad is unclear. It knows only the version as it was formalized by his successor, Elijah Muhammad. It seems that the strengths are already in the teaching of Wallace Fard Muhammad.

• Islam Wallace Fard Muhammad, who is very far from orthodox Islam and the NOI is therefore not recognized as Muslims by other Muslims , is the true religion of the black man , and is reserved for blacks, and in theory other people "of color". • Interracial marriages are prohibited: "We believe that intermarriage or race mixing should be prohibited .
