Val Di Spoleto

The Val di Spoleto and (which lead precisely by in French but exists also in the more literary form of the Spoleto valley) is the Italian word which means plain of Umbria in Italy , extending from the town of Spoleto to Assisi , the Mecca of the life and deeds of St. Francis of Assisi , differentiating the valleys and plains, the slopes of Mount Subasio.

And the Basilica di Santa Maria degli Angeli is located in the Val di Spoleto.

If the term for this region is no longer really in use today, we find traces in many ancient writings translated into French in a more literary sense that toponymy.
