Foundation for Innovation UTC
The objective of the "Foundation for Innovation UTC" is to reinforce the already widely maintained between higher education, research and socio-economic tissue. Among the top donors who are part of the circle of founding members include:
- The INERIS (National Institute for Industrial Environment and Risks)
- The Regional Council of Picardy
- The Crdit Agricole
Student Clubs and Societies
Community life is organized around the BDE.
The associations may reflect a technical project ( Coupe de France robotics , Shell Eco-marathon ...) to participate in humanitarian, cultural (theater festival , a festival of short films , music Overall, choir, drama ...), event , be related to tolerance and good citizenship (Fight against homophobia, Engineers Without Borders ...) to discover the world of work (the junior company USEC), or simply contribute to the ambiance of Student Life (Student Journal, home bar, various clubs etc.).
Participation in community life, however, is strongly encouraged by the establishment, particularly through the study regulations: participation in extra-curricular activities, whether related to the association involvement in the UTC or not, is mandatory to obtain an engineering degree. On the other hand, the study regulations recently provided the opportunity to develop a semester eased to encourage involvement in personal projects, often linked to community life.
From February 2011 is added to the program during a unique "Associative Activities (AA01). This is a course called "general culture" which aims to enable students to understand the management and organization of associative structures of all sizes. It will encourage investment by students at the local level, but also to prepare them to work in a sector that accounts for 1,435,000 jobs in 2006
