The University of Navarra is a higher education institution founded and run by Opus Dei in 1952. The headquarters of this university is located in Pamplona.
It can take at the university 27 official titles and more than 300 programs Postgraduate in 10 faculties, two colleges, IESE (I nstituto E S Studios uperiores mpresa E), two university schools, ISSA (I nstituto uperior S and A S ecretariado dministracin), and other centers and institutions. It includes the University Clinic of Navarra where 300 researchers are developing their studies biomedical.
The University of Navarra is one of four private universities in Spain (authorized to waive the formal literature of medicine and surgery ) with the University European Madrid , San Pablo CEU University and the University International Catalonia.
Like the University of Navarra and the National University of Distance Education (UNED), the University of Navarre has its headquarters in the capital of Navarre.

History
The institution began as General Navarre School October 17, 1952 with the inauguration of the Law School which had 48 students and eight teachers under the direction of San Josemaria Escriva. San Josemaria Escriva himself described the ideals that he wanted to be transmitted:
- "Queremos aqu that is formen doctos hombres, con sentido cristiano de la vida, queremos that in este ambiente para la reflexin serena propicio, is cultivated enraizada ciencia en los ms slidos principios y que su luz por todos los proyect is caminos del saber ".
- "We want you here as educated men, with Christian meaning of life. We want in this atmosphere, suitable for quiet reflection, we cultivate science rooted in the most solid principles and that its light is projected by all paths of knowledge ".
On October 8, 1955 was born the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters. In 1958 the IESE (Instituto Estudios Superiores of the Empresa) was founded in Barcelona as a school of postgraduate in business leadership at the University of Navarra. In 1960 the Holy See established as a university's School of General Navarre, Josemara Escriv was appointed as Grand Chancellor. During the year 1961 the first phase of the University Hospital is attached to the University of Navarra.
During the year 1964 the IESE program launches its master. 1 November 1969 the Institute of Theology becomes Faculty of Theology and November 8, 1971 Journal of the Institute becomes a Faculty of Computer Science.
During the year 1976 was inaugurated the building of Humanities, which will host the Faculties of Theology and Canon Law. In 1982 was born in San Sebastian Study Centre and investigation techniques Guipuzcoa (CEIT). During 1986 we created the Institute for Scientific and Technological Institute and Business humanism and Computer Technology Centre.
Since the consolidation of university status in 1960, the University of Navarra has started to establish faculties, schools, institutes and other academic centers still present today. During 2002 the University of Navarra has carried out a series of events to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the founding of the university.
During 2004 we launched the Applied Medical Research (CIMA).

Campus
Most centers, including the University Hospital of Navarra is located in Pamplona , but the seats of the IESE Business School are in Barcelona , Madrid and San Sebastian found the Campus Technology, University of Navarra (TECNUN) and ISSA for Executive Assistants .
It is planned to build a contemporary art museum to house the collection which was recently donated to the university by the Pamplonaise Josefa Mara Huarte Beaumont , the architect in charge of the project is Rafael Moneo. The collection, considered one of the greatest of contemporary art from Spain , includes works by Pablo Picasso and Wassily Kandinsky , among others.

- The Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) in its ranking of MBA programs 2005/2006 published in the journal The Economist , IESE Business School as the University of Navarre had the best MBA program in the world.
- The Periodical The Times, in his 2006 Times Higher Education Supplement found at the University of Navarre as the best private university in Spain.
- El Mundo in its annual ranking of best universities in Spain has seen the University of Navarre as the best private university in the Spanish editions 2002/2003, 2003/2004, 2004/2005, 2005/2006, 2006/2007 and 2007/2008.
- The Wall Street Journal in the 2006 edition of its annual ranking of business schools in the world considers the IESE Business School as the 15 best business school in the world.
- El Mundo's 250 Ranking Masters 2006/2007 edition considers the University of Navarre as Head Master in Business Law, Master of Liberal Arts and Master of Research, Development and Innovation Medication.
- El Mundo believes in his famous charts of universities, the University of Navarre is the best university in Spain's career in journalism.

- The Clnica Universitaria de Navarra is a private clinic in Pamplona ( Navarra , Spain ). It is part of the University of Navarra, private university belonging to the Opus Dei. It was inaugurated in 1962 and currently has some 2,300 employees. Since 2004, it is accredited by the Commission International.
