The University Pierre Mendes-France - Grenoble II (also called UPMF or Grenoble-II), named in honor of Pierre Mendes France , a French university is located in the Academy of Grenoble. It is located mainly in the city of Grenoble , but some sites are outsourced including Valencia.
Areas of instruction are offered mainly humanities and social sciences, commerce and law with an exception because of scientific disciplines (computer and network) are taught in the polytechnics of Valence and Grenoble-II , depending on the UPMF. LIG also has a tradition of experimentation in the field of interdisciplinarity. It was the scene of an undergraduate interdisciplinary experiment in the early seventies, which brought together the humanities and social sciences and mathematics. Thereafter, the experience led to an undergraduate MASS germ of an industry that has developed so far.
The University of Grenoble-II in 2006 signed a partnership agreement with the Institute for the Study of International Relations in Paris, enabling students to master 2 being issued with a double degree.
