The University of Cergy-Pontoise is a university located in the French department of Val-d'Oise and the region le-de-France. It was established in 1991 and accommodates 19,250 students. This is one of the entities Pole research and higher education of Cergy-Pontoise Val-d'Oise.

Units Training and Research

It consists of 5 Units Training and Research (UFR), created in 1996:

  • Faculty of Law;
  • Faculty of Economics and Management;
  • Faculty of Languages;
  • Faculty of Humanities;
  • Faculty of Science and Technology.

Institutes and Schools

The university also includes an institute for preparing for the general administration (IPAG) established in 1996 and a university institute of technology attached to the University of Cergy-Pontoise in 1991.

It includes a university institute of teacher training ( academy of Versailles ) since 1 January 2007.

Graduate Schools

The university has 3 doctoral programs:

  • doctoral science and engineering, combined with eleven research teams
  • Graduate School Law and Humanities, together with seven research teams
  • Mathematics and Economics Graduate School Paris-Ouest, associated with two research teams
