The University of Artois is a French university founded in 1992 (Decree No. 91-1160 of 7 November 1991) and localized in several sites in northern France (Arras, Bethune, Douai, Lens, Lievin). Its headquarters is located at Arras. Old antenna Lille universities , the University of Artois is a member of PRES Universit Lille Nord de France.

Components Education
The University of Artois is composed of 8 UFR, IUT of 2, and a school house IUFM Faculty The IUFM Nord-Pas-de-Calais since 1 January 2008 an internal school at the University of Artois. Its headquarters is located at Arras. Before its integration at the University of Artois and the reform abolished IUFMs was the second of France by its number of students and student teachers. It has several sites: The CPC, which is deployed on five areas where the university has settled, historically includes eight libraries (one at Arras , two in Bethune , one at Douai , two in Lens and two Lievin - Angres ).
