History

Creating the University

The university was established in 1991 under the plan University 2000. It was ^as 1st director Daniel Laurent, who was deputy chief of staff of the Minister of Universities from 1976 to 1978, then appointed Vice-Chancellor of the Universities of Paris between 1978 and 1981 .

Development

In 2007 she joined the PRES Universit Paris-Est and takes its name from current usage. It accesses the "enlarged powers" on ¹ January 2009 .

Components

Pursuant to Education Code , which sets the legal organization of public universities in France, UPEMLV is divided into several components. You can find one hand units training and research (UFR) and secondly the 'institutes and schools. " Thus, the university is structured as follows ^Campus

The head office is located on the UPEMLV Cit Descartes, Champs-sur-Marne (where also the Ecole Louis Lumiere , the college of engineering in electronics and electrical engineering , the National School of Geographical Sciences , the Ecole des Ponts , the architecture school of the city and territories in Marne-la-Vallee , ...), and the university is also located in Meaux and the site of Val d'Europe (Serres).

Universit Paris-Est Marne-la-Vallee sends its students and researchers in other educational institutions and research abroad, through numerous agreements and exchange programs. Erasmus , CODOFIL Agreements (Louisiana, USA) , MICEFA Program (USA) , CREPUQ Agreement (Quebec) , SAAS Agreement (Scotland) , bilateral cooperation agreements (agreement) .
