The University Michel de Montaigne Bordeaux III is a French university, based in the suburbs of Bordeaux (Gironde), more exactly in the academic field of Pessac Gradignan Talence. This is one of four universities and five universities Bordeaux Aquitaine. Its main areas are the languages, history, geography and the arts. 15 600 students are enrolled.

History of Presidents

Components

The university is divided into several Faculty , representing an area of education and research. Until 2010, there were the following Faculty: Arts, Germanic Studies and Scandinavian Studies Iberian and Latin American geography and planning, history, art history and archeology, Institute of Computer Science and Communication , foreign languages and foreign languages, humanities, English-speaking countries, philosophy.

Since September 2010, UFR is reduced to three: "Humanities", "Languages and Civilization" and "Science and Communication territories" .

There is also a Faculty of Continuing Education, the Institute environment, geo-engineering and development, the Institute of Journalism Bordeaux Aquitaine and the University Institute of Technology Michel de Montaigne.

Bordeaux 3 is part of the PRES Universit de Bordeaux.

Location

The headquarters of the university and places of learning are at the academic field of Pessac Gradignan Talence (near line B Tramway Station Montaigne Montesquieu).

The university also has an office in Agen.

Presidency

The university is chaired by Mr. Patrick Brown , professor of History of Ancient Greece.
