The Ukrainian Orthodox Church - Kiev Patriarchate Orthodox Church is a non-canonical. The head of the Church carries the title of Patriarch of Kiev and All-Rus' Ukraine , with residence in Kiev (incumbent: His Holiness Filaret History

The Ukrainian Orthodox Church Kiev Patriarchate was established in June 1992 by Metropolitan Filaret (after removal from the direction of the city of Kiev and All Ukraine of the Moscow Patriarchate ) and his followers, with some the episcopate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church autocephalous. This was encouraged by some of the civil authorities, parliamentarians and various nationalist political parties.
