Two thousand years of history is a radio program broadcast on France Inter at 1:30 p.m., after the news of writing 13 hours, Monday through Friday. She is animated and produced by Patrice Glinet until January 21, 2011, by Anne Kobylak then Jacques Sigal and documented by Emmanuelle Fournier, Claire Destacamp, Clarisse Le Gardien Olivar and Franck. Following the days of the century, created by the same Patrice Glinet in 1996, focusing on the twentieth century , the show revisits each day has an event or an actor in the history of the world through various documents (archive sound clips movies, music or songs of the era, etc.). and thanks to the intervention of a privileged witness or a historian. The scheduling of the program is determined 4-5 weeks in advance. Each day a new issue is prepared to be circulated later. Each week the team of 2000 years of history receives numerous books whose topics are varied. A theme will be chosen according to the event "anniversaries" to treat (dates in history) or according to the diversity of programming (not more than two per week biographies, events need not concern only the twentieth century ...). Once the book, and therefore the theme chosen, we must study the book and supplement it with other sources of documentation. Research and editing, sound documentation is a work based on the consultation of archival film, radio or television of the twentieth century. We must also seek written documentation to supplement the information in the book chosen for the show. Reading the book and collecting documentation to allow Patrice Glinet write a three-page document that will serve as conductor during the recording of the program.
The documents that are broadcast during the show to illustrate or complement the subject matter are subject to authorization of distribution. This audio documentation comes in most cases from the archives of the INA , the National Audiovisual Institute.
On 17 December 2009 , the show celebrates its ten years with over 2,000 episodes to its credit, for a special on the history of media.
