Theodosian Dynasty
The so-called Theodosian dynasty is a dynasty of Roman emperors who ruled the Western Roman Empire and the Eastern Roman Empire. It is therefore both a Roman and Byzantine dynasty.

The Battle of Adrianople where his predecessor dies Valens in 378 marks the advent of the cavalry, military future of the Middle Ages. Then the Roman Empire will be divided into two: Honorius became head of the Roman Empire while that Arcadius , the son of Theodosius is that of the Eastern Roman Empire , also known as Byzantine Empire.
