Theodore Van Gogh Art Dealer
Theodore van Gogh ( 1 May 1857 - 25 January 1891 ), "said Theo van Gogh, was the younger brother of painter Vincent van Gogh. It was an art dealer Dutch. The 652 letters Vincent wrote to his brother Tho (published 1911, translated into French in 1960) are a unique testimony to the artist's life.

Work
While Vincent was working at The Hague , the Netherlands , the office of the Parisian art dealers Goupil & Cie, 1 January 1873 , Theo joined the Brussels office of the same company as a young employee. After the transfer of Vincent in London , Theo returned to the Hague, where he developed his art dealer. During the winter of 1880-1881, Theo moved to Paris at home mother, and from there he sent a whole need to paint her brother so that it can continue to practice his art.
Montmartre
In 1886 , he invited Vincent to come live with him, and in March this year, they rented an apartment in Montmartre , at No. 54 of the Rue Lepic. Theo Vincent did meet with Paul Gauguin , Paul Cezanne , Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec , Henri Rousseau , Camille Pissarro and Georges Seurat , and in 1888 he persuaded Gauguin to join Vincent, who had moved to Arles.
The sculptor Antoine Bourdelle worked for Theo circa 1886 after leaving the School of Fine Arts.
Marriage
In Paris , Theo met Andries Bonger and his sister Johanna, whom he married in Amsterdam on 17 April 1889. The couple lived in Paris, where their son Vincent Willem was born on 31 January 1890. June 8, the family visited Vincent, who lived near Paris to Auvers-sur-Oise. Goupil company began having financial difficulties and Theo looked it was time to start his own business, and he was encouraged by Vincent.
Death
Suffering from syphilis , he goes mad and dies in a nursing home to Utrecht on 25 January 1891 Literature
