Tachfin Ben Ali is the son of Ali Ben Youssef , who belongs to the dynasty Berber of Almoravids. In 1138 , Youssef Ben Ali appointed his son heir to Tachfin Ben Ali.

Emir of the third dynasty of the Almoravids, born at a date unknown, died in 1145. Tachfin Ben Ali was the son of Ali Ben Youssef , and the little son of Yusuf Ibn Tasufin.
