Tachfin Ben Ali
Tachfin Ben Ali is the son of Ali Ben Youssef , who belongs to the dynasty Berber of Almoravids. In 1138 , Youssef Ben Ali appointed his son heir to Tachfin Ben Ali.
Emir of the third dynasty of the Almoravids, born at a date unknown, died in 1145. Tachfin Ben Ali was the son of Ali Ben Youssef , and the little son of Yusuf Ibn Tasufin. In 1138 , Youssef Ben Ali appointed his son as heir Tachfin Ben Ali, Ben Ali Tachfin distinguished himself in Spain to victory of Ucls against the Christians (1108) and Fraga (1134). The political situation at the end of the reign of his father was worrying, even critical, between 1140 and 1141 , the Almohad had seized the southern oases and Taza, but they failed to Ceuta and Melilla took just after Alhoceima. Tachfin Ben Ali during his reign had to fight the Almohad movement, which had only one goal, the end of the dynasty Almoravid they considered decadent. In 1145 , victorious at Tlemcen , Almohades Tachfin bin Ali continued to Oran where he killed himself by falling over a precipice in his flight after his defeat near Oran. His brother Ibrahim Ben Tachfin succeeded him.
