Synagogue Of Ostia

The synagogue at Ostia is a Jewish place of worship located on the outskirts of the Roman city of Ostia in Italy , near the bank of the Tiber , at the end of decumanus parallel to the Via Severiana. The first phase of construction of the building is in the second half of the first century of the Common Era. The temple was embellished in the second century and the early fourth century , it was completely rebuilt and enlarged .
