The Company's history of French Protestantism (SHPF) is a learned society founded in 1852 by Fernand de Schickler in order to search for, collect, study and publish documents on the Protestant French, and settled in Paris , at 54 Rue des Saints-Peres.
This is one of the oldest learned societies of France , which aims to advance the history of Protestants in France.
It does important work of genealogy. It publishes first year, then quarterly, the Bulletin of the SHPF. Many issues are available on Gallica , the digital library of Bibliothque nationale de France. Another publication, Cahiers du Centre Protestant genealogy , published four times a year.

It has a library , constructed from 1866 , with over 100 000 books.
