Simon, Brother Of Jesus
Simon is one of the brothers of Jesus mentioned in the Gospel of Mark (Mark 6.3) and Matthew (Mt 13:55), as well as Jacques , Joses and Jude.
It is often identified with Simeon I of Jerusalem (cousin of Jesus of Nazareth as the son of Cleophas , the latter himself brother of Joseph , Jesus' father) who took over from Jacques , the brother of the Lord, to the head of the Church of Jerusalem ( Eusebius , Hist. Eccl. 3, 11, 32 References
