Summary |
According to Muslim tradition, Islam appears during the seventh century in the Hejaz after a series of revelations made by God to Muhammad , considered the last prophet. The context in which Muhammad lived and spread his message is known by the term Jahiliyya ("age or condition of ignorance") Types of Shirk The major shirk is considered a mortal sin in Islam, that is to say that whoever commits it and dies without repentance is condemned to hell and stay there forever. However, different categories of Shirk are distinguished, to qualify the seriousness of the offense and the punishment involved. Sunni theologians prioritize in shirk shirk Shirk Akbar and Asghar or major or minor. The two categories of shirk may be apparent or visible, in this case it is called Shirk Dahir, the hidden shirk shirk Khafi talking about. Practice polytheism, sacrifices by example is a major shirk visible. Being afraid of the power of death is a major hidden shirk. The minor shirk is not an open violation of Tawhid. The ostentation, possession of amulet is considered minor shirk. In classical literature this term tends to be replaced by the more generic term Kafir. The traditional Sunni recognizes three main reasons to shirk, all related to the implications of the doctrine of Tawhid. The ruboobiyah means the belief in the fact that God alone is Lord. The ulohiyyah means that only God should be worshiped; asmaa WAS siffat means the belief in the names and attributes of God in a neutral way: without metaphor, human deification or anthropomorphism. The accusation of shirk is usually uttered by the most important branches to the marginal branches. If a Muslim ready any supernatural power to a mere mortal (or something), including Muhammad as some popular beliefs Islamized region, he finds himself in the position of shirk or the sin of association. For Wahhabis , Salafis and even some of the Sunnis , religion and politics can not be separated, because everything is subject to the authority of God. Accordingly, the Salafists believe that nationalism is a sin of association . To the Wahhabis, who have made a central tenet of Tawheed belief, prayer or any place of worship that is not devoted to their deity (presence of statues, crosses, ...) is also a shirk. This sin is therefore considered particularly serious by the Wahhabis, and historical examples attest to the severity of their enforcement. The shrines of the Shia in Iraq have been destroyed by the Saudis in the nineteenth century , Jews and Christians traditionally considered " People of the Book ", have been withdrawing their protection in Saudi Arabia . Shirk is also used to describe certain philosophical and scientific theories deemed contrary to Islam as the philosophy of redemption , the communism , the theory of relativity. The doctrine of the Trinity Christian is associated with shirk . In fact, according to the canons of the Council of Nicaea ( 325 ), God is a single substance () divine remaining three relations (or hypostasis) distinct (Father, Son and Holy Spirit). This position is reflected in many verses of the Quran in Sura "The Women" , in Surah called "the set table" , and in the sura "pure monotheism" .
