Second Epistle Of John
The Second Epistle of John is a book of the New Testament. Although the author of this epistle, the previous and the next does not give his name, the language is so similar to that of John the Apostle is supposed that it was he who wrote all three.
Background of the Second Epistle of John
At the time the Apostle John wrote his epistle, communication was very effective in the Roman Empire. It certainly was not as efficient as today, but she knew all along something that was hitherto unmatched in the history of mankind. People communicate using messengers on horseback, they can freely borrow enough roads of the Roman Empire because of their greater safety provided by the Roman legions. John Stott in his commentary on the Epistles of John says:
