The Scandinavian Alps or Scandes, Swedish or (mountains) or (keel), Norwegian are a mountain range of the Scandinavian Peninsula. The highest point, Mount Galdhpiggen (2469 m) is located in Norway, while the culmination of Sweden Kebnekaise is 2111 m and that of Finland, Halti , 1 328m.

Along the west coast of Norway, Scandes empties into the North Sea forming the famous fjords of Norway.

Geologically, the Scandinavians are related to the mountains of Scotland and Ireland and the Appalachians in North America. Indeed all these mountains formed a single line before the separation of the supercontinent of Pangea.
