St. Maron (Maroun The Maronite movement

St. Maron

Maroun is considered the father of the spiritual and monastic movement now called the Maronite Church , a Christian church in significant Syria and Lebanon.

Maron has spent his entire life on a mountain in the region Cyrrhus in Syria. This place could be " Kefar-Nabo "on Mount Al-Yambos.

The movement Maronite reached Lebanon when Cyrrhus Abraham , the first disciple of Maron, went to Lebanon where he established a mission to convert the pagans of Phoenician origin.

Maron's disciples, monks and laity, always remained faithful to the teachings Catholics.
