Romulus Augustus, or Latin (c. 460 - 511 (?)), sometimes called, is the last Western Roman Emperor. He reigned for only 10 months, according to sources reduced to a mere "puppets" manipulated by his father.

Born Flavius Romulus, his father Flavius Orestes , a politician Roman considered probable descendant of a tribe Germanic of Pannonia. He served Attila as Notarius, secretary and diplomat , youth and beauty of the prince to escape from the assassination by Odoacer , who shows mercy and sends it in Campania to live there in peace with his family. Romulus Augustus is the main protagonist of the play by Friedrich Drrenmatt's Romulus der Groe (Romulus the Great "), which addresses the last days of the reign of the young prince.

It is also one of the main characters of the book Valerio Manfredi The Last Legion, made into a film in 2007 by director Doug Lefler , where is Thomas Sangster who plays Romulus Augustus. The character of the book coincides with the character of legend Aurelianus Ambrosius and that of Uther Pendragon , father of King Arthur.
