Rhodon (Father Of The Church)
Rhodon was a church father of the second century that we know more than three fragments preserved by Eusebius.
According to Eusebius, he was "Asian birth. He himself said he had attended in Rome , no doubt, the school Tatian.
His principal work was a refutation of Marcion , where he was also talk of Apelles and other heretics even less known Synros. Rhodon Apelles had known in his old age and the main interest of the fragments that we send Eusebius mentions that there is precisely the discussions he had with the old heretic who attended perhaps the group of Tatian. This is enough to make us regret the loss of his work.
Rhodon have also composed a commentary on the Hexaemeron which there remains no trace, which was perhaps part of his book refuting heretical anti-Apelles. In another fragment, Tatian would have left a collection of "problems" relating difficult or obscure points of scripture and Rhodon have worked on the publication of their solutions. It is doubtful that this book ever published.
