Ralph Nader, born 27 February 1934 in Winsted ( Connecticut ), is a lawyer and politician American original Lebanese. He is a Maronite Christian. A graduate of Harvard and Princeton respectively 1955 and 1958 , he became famous for his campaigns for consumer rights since the 1960's the association with Public Citizen. If it is no longer a member of this organization, he founded dozens of other associations ( Knowledge Ecology International , etc..), all engaged in public interest law (or cause lawyering ), ie ie policy advocacy, or the "public interest" by the lawyers.
Independent candidate in the 2008 U.S. presidential election , he received 0.5% of the votes cast.

Political Career
It comes to presidential elections in 1996 and 2000 under the banner of the Green Party , with Winona LaDuke as a candidate for the vice presidency. Sometimes more harshly criticizing even the Democrats than Republicans , some have criticized him for having led to the defeat of Al Gore in Florida in 2000, taking away the few voices missing from the Democratic candidate to beat George W. Bush. During the 2004 presidential election , with Peter Camejo as a candidate for vice presidency, he won two reasons to run as candidate of the Reform Party , losing both the Green Party nomination (which has invested David Cobb ) and the support of Michael Moore , who made a sharp turn in favor of the Democrats, just before he saw as Republican clones. The Nader campaign is placed on the ground defense of minorities and the poor. He then holds regular meeting at the Yale University at the tomb to show the social proximity of John Kerry and George W. Bush , both from the organization Skull and Bones.
Regarding the Iraq war , he wants the withdrawal of American troops and the development of a peace plan. It also relates the cost of a war based on reasoning "wrong" with the deterioration of domestic infrastructure (schools, health, etc..). Finally, as an environmentalist , he campaigned for organic farming and protecting the environment against the all-economy.
He was also the only candidate who put into question the official version of the September 11 attacks and the relationship between Israel and the United States . Publications See also
