The Gospel of Pseudo-Matthew, also called is a text part of the biblical Apocrypha , which dates back about 550 to 570. He brought many traditions like the donkey and the ox in the manger, but also miracles that occurred during the Flight into Egypt.

It is one of many stories of the childhood of Christ that have existed since the second century and incorporates the Protoevangelium of Jacques , with parts of the Gospel of Thomas's childhood.
