Protestant Churches Of Alsace Lorraine

The Union of Protestant Churches of Alsace and Lorraine was born in 2006 from the merger of:

  • Protestant Church of the Augsburg Confession of Alsace and Lorraine (PCAAL)
  • Protestant Church Reformed of Alsace and Lorraine (PRAL).

These are public institutions of religion , created by the organic articles of 1802 kept in force during the return of Alsace-Moselle three departments within the French Republic.

They have many common services (catechesis, mission, etc..) And the new union will foster other (unique role of ministers, etc..).

The president of the union of churches, since 2006, Professor Jean-Franois Collange, former dean of the faculty of Protestant theology in Strasbourg and President of the EPCAAL.
