Prophets Of Islam

In the Islam , although all the prophets are considered significant, five are named "the Ouli azm" ( Arabic : , most determined) and are distinguished: Nuh ( Noah ), Ibrahim ( Abraham ), Musa ( Moses ), Isa ( Jesus of Nazareth ) and Muhammad ( Muhammad ) .

The fundamental essence of the message of all prophets of Islam (in Arabic nabi ; Anbiyaa plural))) is to worship Allah ( God ) alone and reject what is considered as false gods Association ( Shirk ). Islam itself as the religion of all prophets monotheists in history and all called exactly what Islam calls. The Qur'an cites twenty-five prophets. However, a hadith states that there was more. In the Muslim view, every prophet of God supported their communities prevent harm, and urge them to obey him. The Koran says that God sent a prophet to every human society always to deliver a universal message, and that Muhammad is the last of them.

Summary

/ / Shelter from major sins

Islam says that prophets are protected from major sins even before the advent of their prophecy, God warned them when they are about to commit a little sin, to repent immediately to remain pure.

Joseph is an example of these assertions:

The time he lived in the house of the great Egyptian, one day the wife of his master wanted to seduce him, it is said in the comments that Joseph refrained from adultery because of God, and not because the husband of this woman. and made him fear the consequences of his infidelity. But this woman does not refrained him, and she called him evil and wanted. Joseph ran out, without having committed adultery, and without having had neither the intention nor the desire to do so.

Examples for Humanity

Ibrahim is a fine example for the Muslim and the spiritual father of believers, while being a guide for men "(God) said: I'll make you a guide for men" (Qur'an, 2 : 124 ).

The Surah 12: Joseph (Yusuf) is most instructive.

The story of the Prophet Joseph was declared in the Qur'an by God, the most beautiful of all existing ones. At the beginning of this Surah, Allah says: "Certainly in the history of Joseph and his brethren are Signs for those who want to try" (verse 7). Verse 111 states that the stories of the Messengers of God are not fabricated stories and there are lessons to be learned.

In some cases, do not follow what they did. For example, Ibrahim prayed many times for his dead father idolized, but the Koran says not to like him, do not pray for idolaters (Qur'an, 9 , 113-114).

The family of prophets

According to the Koran, the prophets are all connected by the same genealogy, are all the same family and succeed from generation to generation: "Verily, Allah chose Adam, Noah, Abraham's family and the family of Imran above all. As descendants of each other, and God is Hearing, Knowing. "(Qur'an, 3 33 -34)

NB: Imran is the father of Maryam (name of the Virgin Mary in Arabic, Aramaic, Latin (accusative Mariam)).

Members of the family of prophets who will go to hell

Nevertheless, there are family members of prophets who will go to hell, including:

  • The father of Ibrahim

A hadith that "the Day of Resurrection, Ibrahim meet his father Azar whose face is covered with soot and dust. Ibrahim will say: "Did I not asked not to disobey me? . His father answered: "Today I do not disobey you." Then Ibrahim will say: "Lord! You promised me not to insult the day you return from the men. What a shame it would be more for me than seeing my father's surprise (to mercy)? "God in Him the power and glory will say:" I have forbidden to unbelievers to enter Paradise. " Then they will say, "O Ibrahim! What have you to your feet? . Ibrahim look and find a spotted hyena any, we will take it and precipitated in the Fire .

  • Noah's wife and Lot's wife

"Allah sets forth an example for those who disbelieve the wife of Noah and Lot's wife. They were under the authority of two of Our righteous servants. Both betrayed them and they were of no help .

  • The son of Noah

It is none of the three son of Noah, mentioned in the Bible ( Shem , Ham and Japheth ), but a fourth, apparently unknown to the Bible, who died in "The mountain will not guarantee today, cons the orders of God, to whom God will have mercy. "While they were talking thus, the water rose and submerged Shanan, as stated in the Qur'an:" A wave passed between them, and he was the number of submerged. He is also said: "Noah called upon his Lord and said: Lord, my son is part of my family, and your promise is the truth: for Thou art the fairest of those who judge. The Lord replied: O Noah, your son is not part of your family. What you ask of me is a wrongful act: do not ask me something that you have no knowledge. I warn you so that you are not of the ignorant. Then Noah said, Lord, I take refuge unto thee, do not let me ask you something that I know nothing ... " .
