Prizonium

The prizonium [peiznjm] means the piece of cloth used to hide the nakedness of Jesus of Nazareth on the cross. The shape of prizonium is important to date the representation of Christ and can also symbolize certain ideas about it (belt, length, etc.).. The relic of prizonium (true according to tradition) is kept in the cathedral of Aix-la-Chapelle (Aachen) in Germany.
