Political Treatise

The Treaty policy, or the Treaty of political authority, is a work of the philosopher Spinoza , in which he outlines his theory of natural law (which he equates with power and need, thus denying him any prescriptive) and the social contract. Spinoza design is unorthodox compared to traditional theories of sovereignty.

The Treaty is titled "that explains how a society should be organized, whether monarchical or aristocratic, so it does not degenerate into tyranny, and that peace and freedom of citizens feel there is no infringement." and it also develops precepts to better organize a state according to three schemes: monarchical , aristocratic or democratic. The book is not complete and stops at the description of the democratic regime.
