Pierre Gibert
Pierre Gibert, born in 1936 in France is a priest, Jesuit , a doctor of theology and comparative literature. Time professor of exegesis of the Old Testament in the Faculty of Theology of Lyons, he taught at Centre Svres (Jesuit schools in Paris). From 1998 to 2008 , he led the journal Science Religious Research.
Fascinated by the Bible , he is author of several books. His "Short History of Biblical exegesis," published in 1992 , has become a classic in the field of exegesis.
