Perseverance Of The Saints

Perseverance of the saints is a theological doctrine Calvinist who says that no one be saved can be condemned for his sins nor fall outside the faith.

This doctrine was propagated during the Protestant Reformation as a sequel to predestination. She was later taken up by many theologians, including Charles Stanley , Norman Geisler , Zane C. Hodges and Bill Bright.

It has been criticized by proponents of Arminianism , who see it as a form of exclusivist theology.

The Council of Trent condemned this doctrine by a curse : If anyone says that man is justified without the special help of God to persevere in righteousness he has received, or that he can not help with this let him be anathema. (XXII gun).
