Pergamon (in Greek / literally "citadel" in Latin is an ancient city in Asia Minor , in Mysia north of Smyrna , at the confluence of the Caicos and Ctios , about 25 km from the Aegean. Currently, his name is Bergama ( Turkey , Izmir province ).
