Pedro Alvares Cabral
Pedro Alvares Cabral ( in Portuguese or in Brazil ) (or Pedr Alvarez Cabral), born in Belmont in 1467 or 1468 ) and died in Santarm to 1520 , was a navigator Portuguese commander Fleet, commissioned by the King of Portugal Manuel I to go to India and continue the work of Vasco da Gama.

Birth and education
Little is known about the life of Pedro Alvares Cabral before his trip that led to the discovery of Brazil. He was born in 1467 or 1468 - the last being the most often cited .
