Patristic And Patristics
The terms of this article are frequently lumped together : the context of Christian Theology : Patristic , Patristics
These two terms are often used interchangeably to mean the study of Christian writers of antiquity traditionally recognized by the Church Catholic churches and Orthodox as "Fathers", the founders of Theology Christian. However, we can make the following distinction:
- patristic deals with life, work and doctrine of the Church Fathers ;
- patrology means all the works of the Fathers of the Church. Thus does one distinguish traditionally one hand, the Latin Patristics and secondly the Greek Patristics.
