Palestinian Islamic Jihad
The Islamic Jihad Movement in Palestine ( Arabic : , also known as Palestinian Islamic Jihad is a Palestinian Islamist and separatist organization.
The JIP is defined as a nationalist, and Islamic liberation movement , the United States of America , the European Union , of Australia , the United Kingdom . It is regarded as terrorist by Israel and Japan History Palestinian Islamic Jihad was formed after many members of the Muslim Brotherhood found that the organization had become too moderate and was not making enough effort to engage the Palestinian struggle. Thus, in the late 1970s, the founders of the PIJ, Fathi Shaqaqi and Abdelaziz Awda, the group created to fight for the sovereignty of Palestine and the destruction of Israel. Shaqaqi Awda and were expelled from Egypt in 1981 after the death of Anwar Sadat. The PIJ has continued its work in the Gaza Strip, until its founders were expelled to Lebanon in 1987. The group operates primarily in the West Bank and Gaza, but he also carried out attacks in Jordan and Lebanon. Its main strongholds in the West Bank cities of Hebron and Jenin.
