Called Paleo-Siberian various peoples of the north-eastern Siberia is believed to be descendants of the original inhabitants of the region, such as the Chukchi Chukchi and the Koryak , the Itelmens or Kamtchatdales the Nivkh or Gilyak, the Yukagirs and Ketes.
