The old-calendar Orthodox Church of Bulgaria is a Church Orthodox canon, old-calendar and traditionalist, born of a schism of the Bulgarian Orthodox Church.

The head of the Church carries the title of Bishop of Triaditza with residence in Sofia (the present incumbent: the Very Reverend Photii since 1993 ).

Triaditza is the former name of the city of Sofia.

The Bulgarian Orthodox Church adopted the Gregorian calendar in 1968. This decision provoked a conservative opposition within the Church.

Organization

The only Triaditza diocese covers the whole of Bulgaria.

The Church has 16 parishes and 2 monastic institutions ( 2007 ).

Relations with other Churches

The Church is in communion with the Orthodox Church of Greece - Holy Synod in Resistance as well as with the old-calendar Orthodox Church of Romania.
