National Social Security Fund
The National Social Security Fund (NSSF) is an institution of social security Tunisian established by Law No. 60-30 of 14 December 1960.
It succeeds the CCD social benefits established in the late 1958 and succeeding herself associations under private law created after the decree of 8 June 1944 namely:
- Caisse interprofessional compensation allowances in Tunisia;
- the Family Allowances Fund in mines;
- the Social Security Fund and clearing the building, public works, ports and docks.
Plans
The beneficiaries of the system of non-agricultural wage workers are employed in the industry , the trade and services and the fishermen working on vessels whose gross tonnage exceeds 30 tons. This scheme applies to fishermen since 1977. The contribution rate is equal to 25.75% and is distributed as follows:
- employer's share: 16.57% (including 0.5% from the Special Fund of the State);
- wage share: 9.18%;
- accident incurred by the employer whose rate is variable depending on the area (proportional to the risk of an accident) starting at 0.4%.
