Overview
Formerly National College of Art and Industry of Strasbourg (ENSAIS), the National Institute of Applied Sciences of Strasbourg is a school of architects and engineers who joined the network of INSA in 2003.
INSA Strasbourg accommodates 1,300 students and offers a post-baccalaureate over 5 years ( integrated preparation ). The architects proposed training is done in four years and fits on a competitive level maths sup (bin +1). The diploma confers the rank of Master So (4 L1 M2) and is very popular in the profession, graduates are assessed both on their artistic abilities and technical.
History
- 2 January 1875 official Homecoming (16 students, 4 assistant professors) of the winter school for technicians of Agricultural Engineering (fr Technische Winterschule Wiesenbautechniker) at the premises of the current Historical Museum.
- 1887 Opening of the option Highways (Wege und Wasserbau) admission of candidates with the private sector.
- 1889 Creation of the section Building (Fachschule fr Hochbau-Baugewerbeschule).
- 1895 The school takes the name of Imperial Technical School (Technische Hochschule Kaiserliche).
- 1896 Creation of Section Mechanics (Fachschule fr Maschinenbau).
- 1897 Creation of Section Surveyor open to trainees from the Cadastre and Agricultural Engineering (Fachschule fr die Ausbildung von Feldmessern).
- 1907 Architecture Design Section
- 1919 The Kaiserliche Technische Schule becomes National Technical School of Strasbourg (NTS).
- 1920 Creation of the Electricity section.
- 1939 evacuation of the school. Classes are suspended. Staff and students are scattered.
- October 1945 reopening of the school. 4, rue Schoch.
- 1948 Transformation of Section Building Section in Architecture.
- 1950 The NTS is transformed into a National Engineering School of Strasbourg (ENIS).
- 1951 First graduating recruited on a competitive national level Technical Baccalaureate. Training in four years.
- 1955 Opening of the Home of the Engineer.
- 1959 Transfer of School Street Schoch at 24, boulevard de la Victoire.
- 1961 Creation of the Technical Building Equipment section.
- 1963 First graduating recruited through national competitive level Bac + 1.
- 1964 Establishment of a pipeline for recruiting candidates from social promotion and having the DEST.
- 1966 ENISA is transformed into National School of Arts and Industries of Strasbourg (ENSAIS).
- 1975 Authorization for the issuance of a graduate engineer training.
- 1976 Opening of the cycle pre-ENSAIS (Order of May 31, 1976).
- 1977 First graduating recruited through national competitive level (Bac + 2).
- 1978 Establishment of a systematic teaching of security techniques.

- 1986 Creation of the Association of High Schools Region Alsace (AGERA).
- 1987 Opening of a competition reserved for holders of a DUT or a BTS (optional Mechanical Engineering and IEE). Creating a special section on management and IT industry (Decree of September 3, 1987).

The school is run by Marc Renner Training INSA Strasbourg offers a wide choice of training with 8 specialty training her 2 FIP , its preparatory classes postbac including a bilingual Franco-German and his three Masters. INSA Strasbourg offers an engineering program accredited by the Ministry of Higher Education and Research after the opinion of the Securities Commission engineering The training lasts five years after the tray and includes seven specialties: Engineer Training Partnership: The activities of research , which fall within the remit of the school, as in all institutions of higher education are vehicles for better identification of carriers of the school and educational developments with concern for topics of applications.
