The Museum of Church History is the first museum turned on by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It is located in Salt Lake City in the Utah , facing the western outskirts of Temple Square. Until November 2008 he was named "Museum of Art and History of the Church" . One of the principal organizers of the creation of the Museum of the Church was Florence S. Jacobsen, curator and former general president of the organization of the Young Women of the Church .
