Marguerite Harl
Marguerite Harl is a Hellenist French , associate professor of classics. Former pupil of Henri Marrou Irenaeus , she taught ancient Greek at the Sorbonne from 1959. Author of a doctoral thesis on Origen , a specialist in patristic and post-classical Greek, it spent most of his research to Philo of Alexandria and the Septuagint. In 1986, she founded the Editions du Cerf's collection "The Bible of Alexandria, which publishes separate volumes in a French translation of the Septuagint made under his direction. The work of Marguerite Harl on the Septuagint are considered an essential reference.
