Male
A man is a person of sex adult male of the species called modern humans or simply "Man". For distinction, the man prepubescent is called a boy , while the individual adult female is called a woman or a girl when she was child.
Summary |
The man is the male of Homo sapiens.
The term boy refers to his stage human infant and puberty.
On a karyotype , masculinity is reflected by the presence of a single X chromosome (inherited from the mother) and the presence of Y chromosome (inherited from the father).
Each individual of a species seen its constitution based on a common core, coupled with its gender specificity. This common core is, for both sexes, the same number of bodies whose function is common: skin , heart , intestines , liver , brain , number of bones from muscles , presence of the same hormones but in different quantities, etc. ., all in accordance with its species, gender.
Overall, the male anatomy differs from that of women by size, mass and body mass index higher. Men generally have a higher muscle power than women. Their body hair is generally more developed: their secondary sexual character is most visible besides the beard.
The number of men in the world (or sex ratio)
The expression levels of masculinity is a concept from Demography.
The sex ratio is the proportion of males in the total population (both sexes).
This concept is distinct from the rate of female sex ratio at birth, empirical observation of a slightly higher number of births of male births than female. It is between 1.03 and 1.07.
In France, the rate of female sex ratio at birth is 1.05. In China, there would be 1.2 in France, against 25 in 1950), the balance is reversed and the number of women generally outweighs the number of men (eight centenarians ten are women), despite significant regional disparities.
The male psychology
Approaches to male psychology , the psychic functioning of man are many and there is, so to speak, as many approaches as psychologies.
For example, among subjects who described the construction of masculinity, one approach is analytical psychology. According to this theory, the integration of masculine characteristics is through the acceptance of her femininity by the man. Like the woman who must accept his men. This process is done with difficulty for both genders. Thus the famous psychoanalyst Carl Gustav Jung , the man has his feminine side, which is called the Anima.
"The anima is feminine and is only a panel of the male psyche and is a figure which compensates the conscious male. In women, conversely, the compensation element is a male character, so I called the animus. If, already, to describe what is meant by anima is not exactly an easy task, it is certain that the difficulties increase when it comes to describing the psychology of the animus. The fact that a man naively attributes to his ego reactions of his anima, without even being touched by the idea that it is impossible for anyone to identify themselves properly to an autonomous complex, this fact is a misunderstanding is found in female psychology to an extent, if possible, even greater. To describe in brief what makes the difference between man and woman in this view, therefore, characterized the animus in front of the anima, say while the anima is the source of moods and whims, animus, it is the source of opinions and even the mood of man proceed from obscure backgrounds, opinions and acerbic Masterworks of women are based as much on unconscious biases and preconceptions.
