The Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church is an autonomous Eastern Orthodox Church canonically attached to the Syriac Orthodox Church (Patriarchate of Antioch). The head of the Church carries the title of Maphrien and Catholicos of India , with residence in Puthencuriz in the district of Ernakulam in Kerala. The current incumbent is Aboon Mor Baselios Thomas I. since 26 July 2002.

It differs from the Malankara Orthodox Church tradition, but also autocephalous.
