The Evangelical Lutheran Churches, Churches are Protestant tradition of Lutheran , whose faith is expressed in the of Lutheranism , namely, in addition to three conventional
- the Augsburg Confession (Confessio Augustana also called, presented to the Diet of Augsburg in Empire to 1530 by Melanchthon )
- the Apology of the Confession of Hamburg ( in 1531 , the same);
- The Little Catechism of Luther ( 1529 );
- Grand catechism of the same ( 1529 );
- Articles of Schmalkalden the same, and their schedules of Melancthon ( 1537 );
- Formula of concord to reconcile the different streams of Lutheranism ( 1577 ).
In France, the Evangelical Lutheran Church more often referred to as the Augsburg Confession. There are others like the Evangelical Lutheran Church - Synod of France and Belgium (EEL-SFB)
Most churches who make their faith and are grouped in the Lutheran World Federation (LWF). In France, are members of the federation, and united in a National Alliance of Lutheran churches in France (ANELF), two churches:
- the Church of the Augsburg Confession of Alsace and Lorraine ,
- the Evangelical Lutheran Church of France.
Another sizable group is the ILC (International Lutheran Council) in which the EEL-SFB is categorized.
