Lonard (Comics)

• Leonard: It is, as he describes himself, a genius. It is actually a caricature of Leonardo da Vinci. Indeed, all day, he invented new machines, new ideas, new concepts ... like his ideas come to him often at night, while his disciples slept, Leonardo imagines various and diverse mechanisms to wake him up, preferably brutally. To make matters worse, Leonard is very demanding, and any attempt to mini-nap disciple - and even any derogatory remark on his part - is punished by an unstoppable "blame" blunderbuss shot, anvil, clock or any shot imaginable, they are generally hidden in the big white beard of Leonardo. He is extremely narcissistic, constantly touting the merits of his genius and kissing her reflection (who does not really), while being very sensitive to flattery. Leonardo's inventions are anachronistic and if it does not always work as expected, they still have a surprising effect (or disastrous). Even if he says he hates his disciple, he is very attached to him, he having a nightmare at the thought of seeing him go, he is worried about his health and his attempt to replace him has turned to failure. Scion of a great family names or names of his cousins, nieces, great-uncles etc.. are often used by Leonardo to name his inventions (Ettore Trampoline, to resell in Engineering, Scrabble Caught in engineering, engineering Richter y 'in the air). He also Czech origin, hence the name of his mother, Azerty, that inspired the invention by Leonardo typewriter. Fragile, yet still he manages to recover from the inventions of Leonardo or blame, sometimes in less than one box, what surprises Raoul who routinely asks: "But how can he be intact to the next image? . Since the first album, the disciple is theoretically a motto: "I serve science and it is my joy," but in practice, unless he is, the better he is. Moreover, it sometimes takes revenge by distorting its own motto: "I serve science but this is my joy! "(Shout, O genius)," I hold science and this is my joy "(by strangling Leonard Engineering in Engineering or Not)," I must go and serve science as it seems it's my joy "(gift of genius)," I hate science and this is my joy. " His devotion to his master is very surprising because it gives life to last through hell, despite all the possibilities of a career change that has the disciple, he was scared to get fired. The years of service with Leonard are unknown, according to the album, he says he worked 10, 25 and even 30 years with the genius, but you can see the first figure as the disciple is very young.
• Raoul Chatigr: cat Leonardo, silent in the early albums, but gradually become a full-fledged character in the series. It has the distinction of not being nyctalopic (he can not see in the dark as other cats.). Responding to the original name of Prosper, a conflict between Leonardo and his disciple will become Raoul. It often occurs to comment on the story (much to his annoyance ignored by Leonard and Basil), or simply to talk with Bernadette, a mouse gray. He also mixes occasionally Affairs Leonard, sometimes even being in the center of the plot. Note also the presence of a skull philosopher, Yorick, companion discussion of Raoul and Bernadette. • Mathurine: good Leonardo, engaged in the twelfth album. This is an excellent housekeeper and cook, but she has a temperament quite strong and muscular reactions. Indeed, it hardly supports the experiences of the master and his disciple, experiences that often end up dirty room in the house that has just Mathurine clean. It is very likely on his size, and uses the hard way if anyone teases about it. Upon her arrival she is very hard to clean because it reaches the huge dishes in the blink of an eye, and solves an equation in the wake of the third degree. It is sometimes an inventor, which will not necessarily sign off for Leonard and his disciple. One can notice that at first she came to work in Leonardo, then over the album, she had her own room with his master.
• Bernadette: gray mouse in the house. At first, she made a small appearance by history but its getting bigger and bigger role as albums. She has a little crush on Raoul, loves to dance with him but does not support it embraces. She loves cheese.
• Yorick: skull and philosophical companion discussion of Raoul and Bernadette. He loves talking about his past, which annoys Raoul. He would have a greater role in history.

Animated Series

A pilot for an animated series was created by Leonardo in the early 90s by the studio DIHR but the project will not reach the higher stage.

• 2009: Leonardo 3D animated series of 78 episodes of 8 minutes performed by Philippe Vidal from a character of Turk and Bob de Groot.
